Project Overview

While video lectures are excellent for foundational knowledge, mastering a digital app requires hands-on experience. This project involved developing an Interactive Learning Media (MPI) or an interactive mockup of the AmarthaFin app. It was designed to provide Field Officers and new Agent Partners with a safe, simulated environment to practice crucial digital financial transactions before executing them in the real world.

1. Strategic Objectives

The transition from manual processes to a fully digital ecosystem can lead to user friction. This interactive simulation was built to solve specific operational challenges:

  • Minimize Technical Errors: Reduce the number of failed registrations and transaction errors in the field by letting users practice beforehand.
  • Build User Confidence: Provide a "risk-free sandbox" where users can click, explore, and make mistakes without affecting real financial data or real customers.
  • Accelerate App Mastery: Shorten the learning curve for essential app functionalities compared to merely watching a tutorial video.

2. Instructional Design & Experience Design

To make the simulation effective, it needed to mirror the actual app experience as closely as possible while providing instructional guidance:

  • UI/UX Replication: Meticulously recreated the AmarthaFin user interface to ensure the training environment felt exactly like the live application.
  • Guided Pathways: Designed step-by-step interactive flows that require the user to actively click the correct buttons (e.g., inputting OTPs, activating GPS, taking KTP photos) to proceed.
  • Immediate Feedback Loops: Integrated instructional prompts and error messages that guide users back on track if they click the wrong area or miss a step during the simulation.

Summary of Interactive Scenarios

The simulation covered the most critical, high-stakes operational flows within the app:

  • Agent Onboarding Flow: Hands-on practice for registering an active phone number, navigating the OTP validation, and creating a secure 6-digit PIN.
  • KYC & Account Upgrade: A simulated walkthrough of upgrading to Poket Premium, practicing how to properly activate the camera/GPS and perform self-photo verification (KTP & NIK).
  • Transaction Execution: Interactive scenarios allowing users to practice completing top-ups and cash-out requests using the digital wallet.
